GANESH

Ganesh is one of the most popular guardian deities,
worshipped by Hindus and Buddhists alike. Gansesh
is also spelled as Ganesa ,also known as Ganapati and
Vinayak. Ganesh is honoured at the start of rituals and
ceremonies  as he is believed to be deity who eliminates
obstacles. To begin any auspicious work or enterprise,
Hindus adore this deity with the hope that they may accomplish their work successfully  by averting any
obstacles.

Although he is known by many attributes, Ganesha's elephant head makes his easy to identify. Myth provides many explanation of how he got his elephant head. While some text say that Ganesh was born with elephant head, he acquires head later in many stories.
